Out for an early walk on my original course through The Pink City and I wondered if I had made a wrong turn. There were no street vendors, beggars, etc. I was told they were put on a train to a neighboring city. The roads were paved. The dilapidated canopies were removed. The overgrown bushes were trimmed. Parking areas highly restricted and policed. Bus lanes were marked. Stripes and markers on the road. A remarkable transformation to entice the investors.
In spite of the new sterility, I did find a Farmer's Market and a group of donkeys being herded down the road.
