Not The Walk And Only The Talk

I have to be honest, I have been chewing on how is it that I am in a highly spiritual/religious country with a system of beliefs that could create "good" humans and not seeing "the walk--only the talk."  It appears to be in the timing.  When you are ready you are ready.  Sitting at the feet of the Guru doesn't guarantee anything, but it does increase the probability.  It isn't any different than anything else.  Just because one gets good guidance and instruction doesn't guarantee she/he is going to be a world champion-or even a local champion, but there can be improvement.  My ego was wanting to blame it on a flawed system.  My inner voice could not find a fault in the theory of nonduality.
