The Indians who I speak to outside the ashram always ask why I am here.  When I tell them it is for spiritual inquiry, they all think it must be a yoga retreat where foreigners go to hang out, do yoga exercises, eat well prepared foods, and live in a luxury suite.  Interesting for me that when I correct that vision, they have no idea what I am talking about and want to come to the ashram--to check it out.  I tell them the door is open and the disciples are Indian.  Here sits Gurudev in their backyard and they have a better idea of bleach blondes on a California beach.  Plus, they think my fitness level comes from the yoga retreat.  Life is so fun!
