Bus ride into Pushkar, holy city two plus hours outside of Jaipur. Interesting to see the difference between Jaipur and Pukta. Jaipur is more traditional and Pushkar has been made into a more of a tourist town with Westernized food and shops available. The good news is that the town is quieter since cars are not allowed. There are suppose to be at least 1,000 shrines. Fun to see the diversity of spiritual interpretation.
Found a great shop with modern Indian clothes that are still tasteful to wear in the ashram. I can actually wear these clothes at home too. Even the Indian women are asking me about them... A small bit of Las Vegas glamour in Jaipur--the universe definitely has a sense of humor since I would be happy to wear a feedsack too.
Wild bus ride down the hill: I was counting on the bus driver wanting to live. Good news was that we made the connecting bus by 5 minutes. Got into Jaipur as it was exploding with festivities from their World Cup win in cricket.
