Being A Body Was Not Disturbing

The ashram was very quiet, Gurudev was reading, and I was kneeling with awareness of his presence.  I was conscious, but there was no sense of separation from anything in the environment.  I could have been a cloth, a sheet of paper, or an extension of the circulating air.  I felt like an inner meditative state with eyes open.  The sense of self was not defined by the usual physicality, but by visual contrast and mental observation.  Being a body was not disturbing.
