Vindravan--over 5,000 temples in this city. Krishna was believed to have spent the first 12 years of his life here. Last nights visit to the "main" Krishna Temple got the 24 hour city visit started with absolute intensity. I can understand how people get crushed and killed in the vigor of religious fervor. A bit odd for me, since one would think polite manners and patience would be elicited in a spiritual setting. The not so pleasant part of human nature can rise up in these situations--yet another remarkable experience.
