What is your day like?

What is your day like? Last night while at the camp out, one of the people went to use "the bush" and when she squatted down, a lion growled at her. Needless to say, she got the fright of her life. And this isn't Hollywood folks...

In the morning, we came across two hippos cuddling in the lake.

In the afternoon, one of the young horses has had an elevated temperature for two days, a symptom of African Horse Sickness, but today it spiked. I don't have any experience with this virus, but it can be lethal and there is no clear solution. As a result of this disease, we have been taking the temperatures twice a day for all of the young horse. The horse still eats and acts normal, so the temperature is one of the only clear symptoms. The first two days of the increased temp., they thought it might be some other type of virus, but when it spiked.... They have lost horses to this, so I hope this one pulls through.

Later in the afternoon while I was on my walk meditation, I saw giraffes, warthogs, and monkeys. The pictures are from the bridge I walk across. In the mornings and the afternoons, the air can be like velvet--a very soothing second skin.

Taking it all in stride.
